Zoe-cat hasn't been eating.  She threw up in several places Monday? (not certain due to the out of town) night, and no one is sure they've seen her eat since.  She definitely has not eaten in a day, as we put the food dish away so we'd know who was eating.  We tried giving her wet food last night, which she happily licked up the juice from, then threw up an hour later.  So, off to the vet she went today.  Vet can't find anything wrong with her, other than being dehydrated (not an unlikely consequence of not eating for a few days.)  Hopefully she will just be fine in a few days.

eeek! when my cat did that, it was because she had stomach cancer :( Of course, there are tons of reasons that would do that, I think. I'm surprised the vet didn't know or give you more ideas of what to watch out for or anything.
is she drinking, at least? can you give her milk or something? Hope she gets over it.

The vet took x-rays and blood work, which seems like most of the reasonable things to do. She's already being more talky and annoyed that we won't feed her tonight, on the vet's advice. Either she was starting to feel better on her own, or the IV fluids made her feel better. She has been drinking, and that was part of why we tried the wet food, to see if the juice in that was close enough to water that she'd like it.

Also, randomly: frolain got the vet to email us a copy of the x-rays, and you can see her microchip in them. I think this is amusing.

*chuckles* R and I kept finding this funny bump on top of Tesla-cat's head, and I kept wondering if it was a mole, or something to worry about... until we realized it was his microchip. They're funny little things!
