I watched the Dr Who Christmas special, and I just have to say, would someone stop letting the bad fanfic writers write the show? Please?

I thought the show was always written by bad fanfic writers. That's part of what made it so charming--the fact that it sucked. Mind you, I've never really gotten into Dr. Who, so...

I think the old series probably fits that. The new one has (gasp!) a budget! and writers! (sometimes) Also, the fact that I am no longer 8 may have raised my writing standards.
