Parsley

There is something in my yard that doesn't want me to plant parsley.  I've put out eight plants, all of which were ripped apart, three of them to the point of having no leaves left.  After replacing those three with bigger, burlier plants, I find one pretty close to destroyed in less than 24 hours.  Whatever this is also likes ripping marigolds apart, but isn't very interested in spinach, pepprs or eggplant.

If it's not interested in peppers, it's not a rabbit.

I suspect the squirrels; there are so many of them around digging other things up. Could also be wild cats or the skunk though.
