Dec. 7th, 2008 11:03 amI went to the Harvard Bookstore's warehouse sale yesterday, and got a book on Madame de Pompadour (ie, french pre-revolution history in the 1700s) which I am enjoying greatly. I also put the primer coat on the back stairwell, then went to my company's semi-formal holiday party at the Four Seasons with paint still on my hands. The party was more fun than I expected, with good food and many more people I knew than previous years.
This morning: le jardin en hiver. I think my work on improving the winter interest is showing. There's still more to go; I need more evergreens in a few spots, and want art or stones for one or two others, but it's not a blank, dead field like it was a few years ago.
