I ironed all 14 yards of cotton for the curtains I'm making this morning, and now I'm wondering if I'm feeling up for the gym despite the pouring rain.

In possibly the very first sign of spring, my idiotic japanese maple tree has decided to start sprouting it's leaves.  At least it waited for the middle of february this year instead of repeating certain january mistakes, and at least it never seems to suffer from disagreeing with all the sensible trees about when spring is.

This has been an amazingly good weekend.  I went out to Natick on friday for dinner with [profile] frolain and his parents, and then to a show where his cousin was playing.  On Saturday we did various errands, including going to Trader Joe's where they gave us free roses because it's after valentine's day and they had extra bouquets of roses they didn't think they could sell.   Then in the evening, I went to a party with S which was crowded but I got to meet new people, many of whom seemed neat.

Last night, [profile] frolain and I went to see My Fair Lady at the Opera House.  I enjoyed it even more than I was expecting to.  I picked up on a lot of themes and undercurrents I hadn't before in the show, but I'm not sure if that's because of the particular way they did it or because I haven't seen it since I was much younger and things went right over my head then.  And afterwards, I found the last Buck Godot comic book that I don't have (#7 of the Gallimaufry) on ebay.  I know it's online, but it's not the same.  I hope they'll print a color edition of the Gallimaufry once it's all online.
