Spring is suddenly here.  There are crocuses and snowdrops up in my yard, with buds.  The daffodils are just starting to break the surface.  I started my first seedlings last weekend (foxgloves and leeks), with more planned to start in another two weeks.  It might be time to start fixing some of the winter storm damage soon.

Things have been insane up here - the tulips are going (mine are buds yet), daffodils have hit their peak, crocuses are nearly over, cherry trees are crazy, and my neighbor's hyacinths are flowering. And my arugula (which apparently survived the week-long hard frost) is bolting.

Ah, Seattle in an El NiƱo year... we'll probably get a drought this summer, though, given the lack of rain :^(

I always liked the pink drifts of petals at the end of the cherry tree season, but I don't think there are enough of them here for it. I was surprised to see that my scallions made it through the winter.

Yesterday was gorgeous here, I got to sit outside with Zoe, who spent a while rolling around in the thyme and getting covered in dirt and leaves (she seemed delighted.)
